Melanin Men of Forney was founded in 2025 when a group of dedicated men came together at Jay Meezy's house with a shared vision: to build a brotherhood rooted in leadership, mentorship, accountability, and community service. What started as a gathering of like-minded men quickly grew into an organization committed to making a positive impact throughout Forney and the surrounding areas.
Since our founding, we have hosted regular bi-weekly and monthly meetings that provide opportunities for fellowship, personal development, networking, and meaningful conversations about issues affecting our families and community. Through these meetings, we have strengthened bonds among members while creating a supportive environment where men can grow personally and professionally.
Our organization has also focused on giving back by supporting local businesses, building community partnerships, and raising funds for end-of-year celebrations and community events. These efforts help bring families together, recognize achievements, and create positive experiences for the next generation.
Today, Melanin Men of Forney continues to grow as a brotherhood of men dedicated to excellence, service, and empowerment. We remain committed to uplifting one another, investing in our community, and creating a lasting legacy for future generations.
